BLS Compensation and Benefits Survey
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics has released the results of the "National Compensation Survey: Employee Benefits in the United States." Some of the findings include: 71% of private industry workers have medical care benefits available, compared to 88% among State and local government workers; employers paid 82% of the cost of single coverage and 71% of the cost for family coverage; and paid sick leave is available to approximately two-thirds of workers. The data is also available broken down by industry and employer size.
